1)What have you learned?
In this project i learned about how human rights effect the world in both ways. Without human rights the world would be like Africa. With human rights the world would be a much better place than it is now. The thing i found most interesting is how Africa lives with rebels and its poverty and all of this is because the government docent enforce human rights. In the other presentations the saw some shocking things also.eg- the affect on people that use drugs.
2) What would change on your presentation?
the thing i would change/add in is music because it made the presentation less interesting.
this is the URL:
http://www.mlive.com/news/grpress/index.ssf?/base/news-36/1178539503105110.xml&coll=6What is the issue?
The issue is that drug use is rising in Michigan among teens.
Who is involved?
The people that are involved are,
- the teens using drugs
- the parents
- the police
- and the schools
Who is affected and how?
The teens are affected because they are the ones taking the drugs. The teens parents are affected because their kids are taking/dieing from drug use. the police are affected because they have to arrest the kids that are taking drugs. The schools are affected because the students are lacking in knowledge because of the drugs.
What would you do if you were directly involved?
if i was directly involved i would find out who is giving the kids the drugs and get them arrested. i would not insist on sending the kids to jail because most of the kids are only in middle school and Jr high.
Sekheena’s blog
lnk to the news report
1. Whay new information has emerged?
no new information has emerged on the topic
2.What did you find interesting about this topic?
I found this post interesting because my current event blog was on something simular to this because a health officail helped the iraq forces by giveing money to them to buy wepons and help them start the raid that Sekheena did her post on.
3. What did you like about the intel blog posting?
In the intel blog post i like how Sekheena used links to words to help the reader. I also like how she centered her subtitles and made her fount large.I also like how she orgaized her post (eg- the who is affected and how question). What i think she could have done to make her post better is that she could have used a larger font for her writeing.I also think she needs explane more on her last question.
What did you learn from this project? In this project I learned about ancient Africa. The thing that I learned about the most is the Kongo kingdom because it was the kingdom that I did my project on
Did you find this difficult or easy why?
I found this project in between because some parts of the project are easy and others are hard. eg- finding information and pictures was easy but typing up all of the information that I found was the hard part.
What would you change about the process you took to complete your wiki?
I think that the process is fine except that I think that we needed more time.
What would you change on your wiki if u had the chance?
If I had a second chance at this project i would put more effort onto my movement page because I could have done a better job on it
Pick two other wikis that you think did a good job on this project.
two groups i thought did a good job on this project are Ancient Ghana and the Mali Empire because they did more extra work then the other teams.

The issue
the issue is that a US health official gave the Shiite Muslims 2 million dollars to help on a raid on US base in Iraq.
Who is involved?
The people that are involved are the US government and the Shiite Muslins
Who is affected and how?
the people that are affected are the US government and the Shiite Muslins. the government is involved because one of there health officials helped there enemy in Iraq destroy a military helicopter and a military base. The Shiites are involved because they destroyed a US military with the help of a military health official.
What would you do if you were directly involved?
If i was directly involved i would try to find out why the health official gave the Shiites 2 million dollars and if anyone else is in on it.
This is a reflection to Lillian’s current event blog posting
http://lilian.learnerblogs.org/2006/11/20/current-events-posting/#comments
When looking more carefully at Lillian’s current event post I think that she can make some changes. First maybe she can explain more about the main storyline like how the government is involved and some other questions that the class had when the class was presenting.
I also think that she could of included more detail in her “What would you do if you were directly involved” question. Maybe she could have included how she would talk to the parents and maybe come up with a time seclude of when the children can work, learn, and maybe a rest at the least profitable time to sell. That is what I think that she needs to change on her post, other than that it looks fine. Another news article that was similar to this post was Andrea’s post because they are both about afghan kids not going to school.

What is the issue?
The issue is that in Sri Lanka government is helping terrorists by giving them food and shelter. Citizens are not happy about this at all and have started riots. Also because the government is paying more attention to the terrorists the citizens are not being taken care of in hospitals.
Who is involved?
Almost everyone in Sri Lanka is involved in the problem.
Who is affected and how?
The people are affected are the terrorists, the citizens, and the government. These people are affected because the citizens are rioting (government).the citizens are being affected because there government is not paying enough attention to them. The terrorists are being affected because if the citizens keep rioting then the government will not help them any more.
What would you do if you were directly involved?
If I was directly involved I would try to create a way that all sides get what they want. I would also try to get the terrorists to move out of the country.

What challenges will you face?
The challenges I might face completing this project are, adding my pictures into the imovie and working on my project at home (I don’t have imovie).
How will you overcome them?
I will over come these problems by learning how to add my pictures to imovie and completing any imovie homework at the library.
